Here are the latest New Music selections from the On The Record column in tomorrow’s edition of The Ticket. Please feel free to share tips below or check out all past New Music selections here.

Expect many people to be adding the London-based producer starring as Jungle to their must-see list when debut single “Platoon” arrives on Chess Club next month. An infectious, funky, blissful jam, “Platoon” is one of those tunes which sounds instantly right and on the money from the first moment you hear it.

X Ambassadors

Originally from Ithica in upstate New York, X Ambassadors have been finding much favour in the last few months with their colourful blend of r’n’b and alternative. New EP “Love Songs Drug Songs”, co-produced by Imagine Dragons’ frontman Dan Reynolds, is the one to check out.

Until the Ribbon Breaks

“Pressure” is a poignant and memorable tune from Welsh producer, remixer and film-maker Pete Lawrie Winfield. A beautiful canvas of moody sounds and dramatic angles, “Pressure” augers well for whatever else he’s going to produce as Until the Ribbon Breaks (he previously released an album called “A Little Brighter” under his own name).
