We used to wonder why more promoters didn’t do indoor winter festivals and it looks like someone was paying attention to us. The Metropolis festival from POD Concerts and Hidden Agenda will have its first outing at Dublin’s RDS on November 7 and 8.

Here’s the impressive line-up of acts who are lined up so far for the weekend’s three music stages:

The Roots (the return of Questlove and co – interview with the dude with the hair here)
Mark Ronson (uptown funk gonna give it to you etc – interview here)
Chic (so, so, so damn good the other week)
Giorgio Moroder (geezer was due to appear at the Electric Picnic a few years ago but that didn’t happen so time to make amends – interview here)
Jamie xx (“In Colour” is one of the albums of the year – interview here)
Todd Terje
Matthew Herbert
Dorian Concept
Kerri Chandler
Jeff Mills
Nosaj Thing
Maribou State
