Agents CBRE is guiding in the region of €1.5 million for a well located housing site close to the Army Barracks at Rickardstown in Newbridge, Co Kildare.

The 7.8 acres site is zoned for housing and includes a derelict four-bedroom house which is valued at about €500,000. CBRE is handling the sale for Caraghstone Homes Ltd which sought permission to develop 102 houses and a crèche in 2008 but failed because of the absence of adequate services. CBRE has also joined forces with auctioneer Matt O'Sullivan to market a redevelopment opportunity at Market Street, Clifden, Co Galway.

The joint agents are seeking €795,000 for a two-storey supermarket extending to 977sq m (10,516 sq ft). The property has a separate access on to Market Hill and may suit a new development of apartments or a boutique hotel. Clifden has a thriving tourist trade.
