Those wishing to do something different to mark Easter morning might go to Dublin's Sandymount Strand at dawn tomorrow, where an ecumenical sunrise celebration will take place at 6.40 a.m.

Cardinal Desmond Connell will tonight celebrate the Easter Vigil at 9.30 p.m. and Easter concelebrated Mass at 11 a.m. in Dublin's Pro-Cathedral. The Easter address will be given at 11 a.m. tomorrow by Archbishop Walton Empey in Dublin's Christ Church cathedral.

Tonight at 9 p.m. the Catholic Primate, Archbishop Seán Brady, will preside at the Easter vigil in St Malachy's church, Armagh, where he will also celebrate Mass tomorrow, while the Church of Ireland Primate, Archbishop Robin Eames, will deliver his Easter address in St Patrick's Cathedral, Armagh, at 11.30 a.m.
