A Dublin sales representative has been found not guilty by a jury at the Central Criminal Court of buggering a woman junior clerk in the Killiney Court Hotel in 1997.

The jury took seven hours to acquit the 38-year-old married man of two charges of buggering and sexually assaulting the woman early on April 17th, 1997 after a party held by their company.

The man, who denied the charges during the seven-day trial, was discharged by Mr Justice Budd, who thanked the jury.
