Gardai in Dublin were still searching last night for three suspects in connection with the fatal stabbing of a man near the South Circular Road on Tuesday night.
Mr Liam Simpson (20), from Firhouse, Tallaght, died from a stab wound to the chest after he and a companion were pursued by three men following an altercation near the junction of Herberton Road and South Circular Road.
Gardai have recovered a knife from the Grand Canal but it could not be confirmed yesterday that this was the murder weapon.
