A pedestrian has died after being hit by a Luas tram in Dublin city centre.
The man, aged in his 70s, was fatally injured in the incident on Marlborough Street shortly after 7pm on Monday night.
Luas operator Transdev said Green line services between St Stephen’s Green and Dominick Street were suspended. Services resumed with delays shortly before 10.15pm.
The scene was examined by Garda forensic collision inspectors on Monday night and traffic diversions were in place.

Gardaí said the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
In a post on social media, Dublin Fire Brigade said: “We’re currently attending a serious road traffic collision on Marlborough Street, delays to be expected.”
The Dublin district coroner has been notified and arrangements are being made for a postmortem.
An Garda Síochána appealed to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward. Road users and pedestrians with camera footage (including dashcam) who were in the Marlborough Street area at the time are asked to contact investigating Gardaí.
