Liquidations in Ireland have fallen marginally in 2000 - from 815 to 779, a drop of 4.4 per cent - according to Experian Ireland.

Receiverships rose to 27 from 10 the previous year, indicating that banks and financial institutions moved more quickly on ailing businesses this year, Experian said.
