A well-known restaurant with a large family house just off the N3 on the Meath/Cavan border is on the market for €695,000 through joint agents Lisney and Smith Harrington.

The Forge Restaurant, which has built up a loyal clientele under the stewardship of owners Pauric and Irene White over the past 17 years, has space for 100 diners and comes with a professional kitchen, outdoor seating area and a nicely landscaped garden.

It is located in an 18th-century cut-stone building that has been refurbished and extended by the Whites. There is car parking for more than 30 vehicles on the 1.73-acre site which also includes a five-bedroom family house.
