Five Ballsbridge residential units sell for €1.9m

Private investor paid €400,000 above the asking price for units at Railway Cottages

A Northern Ireland private investor has paid €1,955,000 – €400,000 above the asking price – for five residential units developed in 2002 at Railway Cottages on Serpentine Avenue in Ballsbridge, Dublin 4. Joint agents Allsop and REA Grimes handled the sale of two two-bedroom apartments, one three-bed apartment, a three-bed townhouse and a two-bed extended cottage.

Allsop's Conor Whelan said the fact that the residential units were presented in good decorative order helped to trigger an early sale. He said the vendor was in receipt of signed contracts and a deposit within three weeks of commending a comprehensive marketing campaign, which included the 65,000-strong investor database registered with Allsop.
