Bray Wanderers say they have reached a settlement with former manager Alan Mathews in relation to his departure last week. The Dubliner's backroom team also departed the Carlisle Grounds after what they described at the time as a "breakdown in communications," with those overseeing the day-to-day running of the club.

At the time, the departing staff said that the matter was in the hands of their solicitors but in a statement the club now says that the outstanding issues have been resolved with Wanderers admitting that were indeed problems in relation to the way Mathews and his backroom staff was dealt with.

Bray take on Limerick at home on Saturday afternoon when caretaker boss Maciej Tarnogrodzki will be aiming to build on last week’s impressive win at Sligo Rovers. The visitors, meanwhile, arrive with a full strength squad having secured a draw with champions Dundalk last time out, the first time this season that Stephen Kenny’s side had been denied a win.
