WOMEN'S HOCKEY/Irish Junior Cup Final: While there are still a few weeks to go before the provinces' league programmes are complete, several issues could be decided this weekend, with Pegasus and Hermes within touching distance of retaining their league titles. The club's second teams, meanwhile, meet in the Irish Junior Cup final at Belfield, writes Mary Hannigan

After winning the Ulster Shield last weekend, Pegasus can complete the Ulster double tomorrow - a draw at home to Ballymena would do.

In Leinster, Loreto must avoid defeat by Hermes on Sunday if they are to keep the title race alive.

Waterford will hope results go their way in the Munster first division. If they beat UCC tomorrow and the University of Limerick fail to win their two games, against Bandon tomorrow and Harlequins on Sunday, then Waterford will finish second and go through to the preliminary All-Ireland game against the Connacht champions.
