Martina Navratilova's first year of her comeback ended in the second round of the WTA Princess Cup tennis tournament yesterday, but she promised to play next season.

Navratilova and Monica Seles crashed to the Australian-American duo of Jelena Jokic and Corina Morariu 6-7 (5/7), 2-6.

Navratilova said the Tokyo hardcourt tournament was the last of her tennis season because she would start playing ice hockey this winter.
