Laois;  2-12 Waterford; 1-12: Second-half goals from Chris Conway, from a penalty, and Brian McDonald, in a four-minute spell earned Laois a hard-earned win in Dungarvan yesterday, a win that secured their place in the Division Two semi-finals.

Leading 0-8 to 0-6 at half-time, Thomas Dunphy stretched Waterford's lead within 60 seconds of the restart before McDonald began a Laois fightback with an excellent point. Laois took the lead in the 45th minute through Conway's penalty and the same player goaled in the 49th minute. Waterford's Shane Walsh scored the best goal of the game 12 minutes from time.
