Tipperary  2-14 Waterford  1-11 Senior star Lar Corbett produced two magical moments to send Tipperary on their way to victory over Waterford in the Munster under-21 hurling semi-final at Semple Stadium last evening.

Corbett had a very quiet game until he swooped in the 55th minute for an opportunist goal that put Tipperary six points clear. Three minutes later from another break, he set up Eoin Brislane for Tipperary's second goal which sealed their win.

John Mullane scored an injury-time goal for Waterford, but by then it was too late and Tipperary were on their way to the final where they will meet reigning Munster and All-Ireland champions Limerick, who defeated Cork by a point on Tuesday night.

In a low-key first half, Tipperary were on top but led by only eight points to five after playing with the breeze. The game failed to ignite until Corbett got Tipperary's first goal.

Corbett's senior team-mate Eoin Kelly had a quiet evening by his standards, contributing five points, but his namesake on the Waterford team and fellow intercounty senior, the other Eoin Kelly, racked up nine points, the bulk of them from placed balls.
