The Munster Colleges championships come out of hibernation this weekend with both semi-finals of the Dr Harty Cup senior hurling, and the first semi-final of the Corn Uí Mhuirí senior football.

Defending Harty Cup champions St Colman's, Fermoy face Cashel CBS at Mitchelstown on Sunday. Cashel scored seven goals in their breakthrough quarter-final win over Coláiste na Déise and are sure to seriously test the Cork school. But armed with magical attacker Andrew O'Shaughnessy, St Colman's should progress.

In the other semi-final Our Lady's, Templemore take on Midleton CBS in Clonmel on Saturday. Templemore stunned St Flannan's in the quarter-final and if key forward Eddie Kelly can perform at his best then Midleton, who eliminated Thurles CBS, may have to settle for second best.

The football semi-final is an enticing all-Kerry clash of Coláiste na Sceilige and Intermediate School, Killorglin at Tralee on Sunday. Meanwhile, All-Ireland champions St Patrick's, Navan finally get to test their form tomorrow in the Leinster quarter-final against St Mary's, Mullingar.
