Racing:Tony McCoy expects to be back in action on Thursday after recovering from the injuries sustained in a fall last month. The 16-times champion jockey has been sidelined since December 30th after fracturing his ribs and bruising his lungs in a fall at Taunton.
McCoy saw a specialist on Monday and after receiving a positive update, he is planning to return to the saddle later this week.
“The doctor is very happy so I should be back on Thursday,” McCoy confirmed.
McCoy’s agent Dave Roberts has not yet finalised Thursday’s riding plans for the champion jockey. He said: “I don’t think he has to pass a doctor or anything and he’ll be back riding on Thursday.
“I’m not sure where he’ll be riding yet. I’m waiting to see what Jonjo (O’Neill, trainer) is doing and then we’ll go from there.”
