Assistance sought in identifying dead man

Gardaí in Dublin have renewed their appeal for the public's assistance in identifying a man who died in January.

Gardaí in Dublin have renewed their appeal for the public's assistance in identifying a man who died in January.

The deceased, who died from natural causes while living in sheltered accommodation in Rathmines was known as Neil Cappleman but it is unknown if this was his real name or not. His date of birh is believed to have been July 2nd 1950.

The deadman, who lived at Hazelwood House, had the word ‘Alan’ tattooed on his fore fingers.

Enquires have so far failed to confirm the identity of the deceased man or a next of kin. His remains are at present in the Dublin City Morgue.

It is believed that the dead man may have had a brother known as John who lived in teh US and a sister Marion in Canada. It is also thought he may have connections in Liverpool.
