Can't make it home for Christmas? Send a message via Irish Times Abroad

We're looking for video messages and emails from emigrants who are staying abroad this year

If you're spending Christmas overseas this year, we're inviting you to send a message home to loved ones in Ireland via Irish Times Abroad.

If you'd like to send a greeting home to your family and friends in Ireland, or share your plans for the festive season where you live, record a short video clip (under 30 seconds) on your smartphone, webcam or camcorder and send it via WeTransfer to abroad@irishtimes.com by Sunday December 18th. Alternatively, you can send your message in the form of a letter or email, to the same address. A selection of messages will be published on irishtimes.com on Christmas week.

WeTransfer is a file sharing service that is incredibly simple to use – log on to wetransfer.com, upload the video file, enter your own email address and ours and send.

We're also looking for photos and emigrant stories for over the festive season on Irish Times Abroad: find out more at irishtimes.com/abroad.
