Imagine if you were a flightless bird with young to protect. In a world where there are predators at every turn, you'd have to get pretty inventive. Dare to Fly puts you in the role of a birds, including an ostrich, a penguin and a kiwi, who are all determined to rescue their offspring. You use two Move controllers to flap the bird's wings, but the game is also compatible with six axis controllers. As you move through the skies, you try to collect items such as power-ups, fly through golden hoops, and rescue odd stray baby bird here and there. Keep your stamina up, and you won't fall out of the sky. The problem is that Dare to Fly is just not very interesting. It doesn't have enough variety to make it worth the time investment. The bird and the environment change, but it feels like window dressing. After a while, it gets too repetitive, and not even the challenge of beating your own score will keep you coming back. Still, the asking price is small. gameshastra.com
