Travel services are the most frequently cited online purchase among Irish Internet users, according to research from Amarach Consulting. More than four in 10 active e-commerce Internet users had bought online travel services in the past three months, it said.

Some 70 per cent of existing Internet users agreed that, in the future, they would use the Internet to book a holiday - over a third strongly agreed.
