Eflow extends payment deadline after technical difficulties

Toll company’s customers report issues after scheduled systems upgrade

Eflow, the company that manages the tolling system on the M50 and takes payments for other toll roads across the State, has extended its payment deadline until Friday at 8pm for journeys taken since midnight on August 5th as a result of ongoing technical difficulties.

The deadline for paying penalties due within this time has also been extended, it is advising customers.

Eflow, which is managed on behalf of Transport Infrastructure Ireland by Turas Mobility Services, said it was experiencing difficulties following a "recent system upgrade" to its website.

Some toll payers have reported being locked out of their accounts and having issues resetting passwords, with the company advising customers on social media today that it was experiencing “a high volume” of contacts due to its technical difficulties.

Functions

Eflow’s online, phone payment and account management functions were taken out of action for the systems upgrade that began on Friday, August 6th.

The payment deadline for journeys since midnight on August 5th has been extended twice since the upgrade, as it sought to make its systems fully functional.

Account holders using a tag or video account will continue to have their journeys recorded as normal, it said, while some road users should be able to pay tolls through Payzone outlets. The company is developing a new app for both iOS and Android platforms, replacing the M50 QuickPay app.

It has told customers it will continue to provide updates on its website and through its Facebook and Twitter accounts.
