Profits climb at Michelin-star Chapter One

Accumulated profits at Michelin-starred restaurant, Chapter One, last year continued to rise, topping €277,000.

New accounts filed by Lindley Ltd that operates Chapter One show that the firm's accumulated profits increased by €24,768 from €252,695 to €277,463 in the 12 months to the end of February 28th this year.

The firm’s cash jumped by 30% during the year, climbing from €526,515 to €683,121.

The continued growth in the business follows its chef patron, Ross Lewis, being asked to cook for Queen Elizabeth II at the State banquet during her visit in 2011.

Chapter One attained its Michelin star in 2007 and the restaurant is one of only five other Irish restaurants sharing the distinction. A sixth, Dublin's Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud, is the only Irish establishment to hold two stars.
