A new public relations (PR) venture has been launched to help small to medium enterprises (SMEs) deal with PR issues, including connecting with media.

The venture by Liz Dwyer and Linda Thomas aims to help SMEs that don’t have the budget required to enlist the help of established PR firms.

The company, PR+Brand Lab, hopes to focus on brands in the lifestyle sector through a two-day workshop at a cost of just under €600 per person.

Empower

The purpose behind the venture is to “empower SMEs to connect with the modern media and learn how to get word out about their brands through PR”, a statement from the company said.

Ms Dwyer, a journalist and owner of an SME business, will run the two-day interactive workshop with former Google employee and start-up owner, Ms Thomas.

The company hopes to be able to show SMEs how to attract new business.
