Employees in the Irish corporate world are being urged to volunteer as "fashion ambassadors" to raise funds for Action Breast Cancer, a project run by the Irish Cancer Society.
The corporate ambassadors will sign up to sell Fashion Targets Breast Cancer (FTBC) T-shirts, which bear a distinctive bulls-eye target logo, to their work colleagues.
The ambassadors will also be invited to meet international supermodel Erin O'Connor at the campaign launch in Brown Thomas next Thursday.
In previous campaigns, the T-shirts were sold exclusively through Brown Thomas stores and selected a/wear outlets.
The patient advocacy group, Europa Donna Ireland, which campaigns for better breast cancer services nationwide, will also benefit from the money raised.
Over the last two years a total of €450,000 was raised through T-shirt sales, and the event organisers hope to increase this in 2007.
Representatives of Europa Donna Ireland are available to visit participating companies to give short health promotion talks on breast cancer.
