FOOTBALL - McGRATH CUP SEMI FINALS/Waterford...2-9 Tipperary...0-9: Goals from Frannie Halpin and Ger Power in the fifth and 48th minutes respectively set up Waterford for a deserved win over Tipperary in the McGrath Cup football semi-final at Dungarvan.

Despite Tipperary's Niall Kelly opening the scoring with a point inside 20 seconds of the throw-in it was Waterford who dominated the early exchanges and they scored 1-2 in a five minute period to lay the foundation for victory with the goal coming from Halpin when he soloed through the Tipperary defence.
