Sir, – This morning, on the radio, I heard somebody from Met Éireann say: “Unfortunately, the temperature will be below normal for this time of year.”

I wonder how long it will be before this becomes: “Fortunately, the temperature will be below normal for this time of year” – Yours, etc,
