A chara, – For a number of years I lived a hundred metres from Croke Park. On the day of big matches, I would turn off the volume on the TV and open the windows. The sound of the crowd is really all you need.

I presume it is a hangover from the days of radio to have a commentator describing in great detail everything that is happening on the pitch. – Is mise,
