Sir, – In a recent discussion about the upcoming elections with some friends, one of them remarked that he was amazed that the candidates with posters on numerous lampposts did not indicate whether they were aiming for Europe or for Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council.
Of course this will be clarified when the different ballot papers are handed out at the polling stations, but it would have been helpful if the electorate had clear knowledge beforehand and more time to decide which way to vote. – Yours, etc,
