Glacial progress

Sir, – I see that us humans are now in the Meghalayan Age of the Holocene Epoch of the Quaternary Period of the Cenozoic Era of the Phanerozoic Eon (“The Irish Times view on the Anthropocene age: humans make their mark”, April 2nd).

Yet still no rail connection to Dublin Airport or functioning public transport in our cities. And the national children’s hospital remains unfinished. – Yours, etc,
