A man died today in a crash in Co Monaghan.
He was killed when a van and a lorry collided on the N54, the main Clones to Monaghan road, at Stonebridge, Clones at 11.45am.
The driver of the van, a man in his late fifties, was pronounced dead at the scene, a Garda statement said.
His body was removed to Cavan General Hospital where a post mortem will take place.

The driver of the lorry and his passenger were taken to Cavan hospital suffering from shock.
Gardai said the road was closed and diversions were in place this afternoon, although it was expected to reopen by 6pm.
