A man was killed last night when his car struck a barrier in south Dublin.

A man was killed last night when his car struck a barrier in south Dublin.

The crash occurred at the junction of the Long Mile Road with the Naas Road at 11.15pm. The victim who is in his 40s has not yet been named.

Elsewhere gardai in Ballyshannon, Co Donegal have named the 36-year-old man killed in the fatal crash yesterday as Keith Rogers from Irvinstown, Co Fermanagh.

The man was killed and his partner and their three-year-old daughter were seriously injured when their car hit a bridge at Cavangarden, Ballyshannon at 2.15pm.
