A pedestrian was killed when he was knocked down by a car in Co Wexford late last night.
The man, whom gardaí said was a 67-year-old British national, was hit by the car at Kilrane at around 11.40pm.
His body was taken to Wexford General Hospital for a postmortem. The victim's name will not be released until all next of kin have been notified.
A total of 241 people have died on the State's roads so far this year, according to Garda statistics.
