Employment in construction has increased by 3.3 per cent in August in comparison with same month last year, Central Statistics Office figures showed today.
The monthly employment index increased from 106.0 in August 2004 to 109.5 in August 2005. The annual increase in employment was 2.1 per cent for July 2005.
