A 47-year-old Irish man travelling from Brazil was being questioned last night in connection with the seizure of cocaine worth €500,000 at Dublin Airport.

He was arrested after customs officers found the drugs concealed in his luggage. The man, who had travelled via Heathrow, was taken for questioning to Santry Garda station.

Meanwhile, a man appeared in Navan District Court on Saturday in connection with the seizure of $2.5 million worth of cannabis on Carriage Road, Navan, last Wednesday.

Mr John Chillingworth, of Athlumney Castle, Navan, was charged with the possession of drugs with intent to supply.
