Muck it up

With September coming to a close, we’ll soon be welcoming colder, wetter weather. You can wait for it to arrive, or you can embrace the puddles and muck wholeheartedly from the start.

The Muck It! run takes place in Ballinlough Castle, Co Meath, on September 28th and promises a twist on your normal 5k run. Throughout the private parkland, forest tracks and fields, an obstacle course incorporating everything from ropes and tyres to canals and pits is waiting, and the only thing guaranteed is that you’re going to get mucky.

It’s a 5k run, but you can do a second lap at no extra cost if you’re feeling up to it, and walkers are welcomed this year. Register online for €30 and pick up your race pack, which includes a T-shirt, refreshments and your timing chip, between 9am and 11am on the day. See muckit.ie.
