When Bagel’s creators started their Kickstarter campaign, they were looking to raise $30,000 (€37k). They’ve raised more than 10 times that at the time of writing. Why so popular? Well Bagel is a smart measuring tape that will adapt for what you need. It’s got three modes – string, wheel and remote – that will cover everything from measuring your waist to your kitchen, the ability to record voice memos with each measurement, and it pairs with your smartphone to transfer all the data. Not that you need a phone really; the tape measure will save the last 100 measurements you recorded, so that should suffice for most users. That means it needs power though, right? Right. It has a built in rechargeable battery that you can power up with any micro USB cable. And it’s compatible with iOS and Android.
