Ireland’s second-string players are set for some Rocky Mountains rugby this summer after the confirmation that this year’s Churchill Cup will take place in Colarado.

It is the first time the event has been staged solely in the United States, with the games split between Infinity Park in Glendale and Dick’s Sporting Goods Park near Denver, a venue that also plays host to MLS franchise Colorado Rapids.

Declan Kidney will lead the Ireland ‘A’ side in the six-team event, with their first match taking place on Wednesday June 10th at 4.30pm local time (11.30pm Irish) in Glendale against Canada. They will then take on Georgia on Sunday June 14th at the same venue, with the game kicking off at 3.30pm (10.30pm Irish). The finals take place on Sunday June 21st.
