Ireland Students 29, Wales Students 12: Ireland Students ran in five tries, two converted by outhalf Mark McHugh, in their victory over their Welsh counterparts at Wicklow RFC on Saturday.

Ireland opened the scoring after eight minutes with a try by centre Shane Moore, after loosehead prop Ronan McCormack blocked an attempted kick ahead by Welsh scrumhalf Llyr Lane.

The Welsh drew level on 20 minutes when fullback Dylan Pugh was pushed over the Irish line by centre Dafydd Lewis. Sweeney added the conversion.

Ireland regained the lead three minutes before half time when centre Kieran Lewis broke and fed left winger Simon Keogh who went over for the first of his two tries. McHugh missed the conversion, leaving Ireland 12-7 ahead at the break.
