Derry 4-10 Donegal 2-12:  DERRY GOALS proved decisive in Ballybofey, yesterday

Derry 4-10 Donegal 2-12: DERRY GOALS proved decisive in Ballybofey, yesterday. They scored two by the 25th minute to put them on their way. Those goals from Mark O'Connor and Emmett McGuckin left them ahead by 2-5 to 0-6 at the break.

That lead was extended by Lee Moore but then Donegal shot five points to reduce the margin to the minimum. Derry's Niall McFeely struck for a goal and Donegal's Danny Curran was red carded.

Although Donegal did get a goal from Kealan McFadden with nine minutes left, Derry replied with Gavin McGeehan driving to the net to put his side on their way to an Ulster semi-final clash with Monaghan, despite Michael McEniff's late consolation goal.
