Unanimity in voting and EU priorities

Sir, – Patrick Smyth rightly questions the motives of the Czech Republic, Greece and Hungary in using their veto power regarding EU foreign policy ("The tyranny of unanimity voting is allowing the tail to wag the dog", Europe Letter, March 22nd). Could the same be said of Ireland in relation to the taxation of large multinational corporations? – Yours, etc,
