A group of students from Trinity College Dublin are in the final of a “moot court “competition at the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg . They got top score in a written submission which mimics cases going before the court. Rian Derrig, Hannah Hassell, Eileen Scollan, Laura Twomey and coach Brian O’Beirne will represent Trinity along with students from 15 other European universities. They will each plead a fictitious case concerning human rights issues.

The competition is run by the European Law Students Association and the Council of Europe with financial support from several countries including Ireland.
