Tour de France:Mark Cavendish produced yet another superb sprint to take his third stage win of this year's Tour de France after being pushed all the way on the final sprint in stage 10 into Issoudun by Thor Hushovd. The Beijing Olympian showed typical grit to pull away as he took 35 points in his bid to regain the green jersey from the Norwegian.

Hushovd collected 30 points for staying on the Manxman's wheel but the gap between he and Cavendish is now down to six points.

"I'm getting closer to it now, I like the colour of it!" the Briton told Eurosport. "I needed the rest day yesterday, it was good, and everyone was fresh today. the team rode well again today and took the race on again. It was a tough little finish but they delivered me perfectly. It's nice.

"Thor was second there so I only got five points back on him. But I've got another two stages, or even four, lined up that I want to win. Maybe two is realistic."
