Mr David Wright, father of the murdered LVF leader, Billy Wright, yesterday made an application in the High Court, Belfast, for leave to apply for a judicial review of decisions taken by the coroner of greater Belfast during the 1999 inquest into his son's murder.

A spokesman for Belfast solicitors, Trevor Smyth & Co, yesterday confirmed Mr Wright had initiated proceedings over the coroner's refusal to release statements that have not previously been made public.
