Soccer - Europa League: Liverpool have been drawn against Benfica while Fulham will take on Wolfsburg in the quarter-finals of the Europa League after the draw was made in Nyon today.
Rafa Benitez’s side overcame a 1-0 deficit against Lille with last night’s 3-0 win at Anfield and will now take on the Portuguese side with the second leg to be played at Anfield.
The winner of that tie will face the winner of the all-Spanish tie between Valencia and Atletico Madrid.
Fulham’s reward for their stunning victory over Juventus last night is a tie with Bundesliga champions Wolfsburg.
Roy Hodgson’s side recovered from losing the first leg 3-1 and conceding an early goal in the second leg at Craven Cottage to secure a memorable 5-4 aggregate win over the Italian giants.
Should they get through a potential semi-final against either Hamburg or Standard Liege will follow.
