Wimbledon:Roger Federer booked his place in the last 16 with a 6-3 6-2 6-7 6-1 victory over Philipp Kohlschreiber on Centre Court.

The world number two once again treated the All England Club to an exhibition of grasscourt tennis, however he did drop his first set of the tournament before wrapping up victory in two hours and 30 minutes.

Federer will face Robin Soderling in the fourth round in what is a repeat of the French Open final, where Federer beat the Swede to lift his first title at Roland Garros.

"It will be nice to have Saturday and Sunday off and get rid of the pressure for a day or so. I felt a lot of pressure two years ago but I feel relaxed now. It's going to be an exciting second week

Number 13 seed Soderling shrugged off a minor fitness scare to breeze past Spain's Nicolas Almagro 7-6 6-4 6-4 on Court Three.

Number seven seed Fernando Verdasco also extended his stay at Wimbledon to a second week with a 4-6 6-1 6-4 7-6 triumph over Spanish compatriot Albert Montanes.

Verdasco's prize is a fourth round meeting with big-serving Croat Ivo Karlovic after he powered past ninth seed Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 7-6 6-7 7-5 7-6.
