A man is in a critical condition in hospital today after being attacked in Dublin yesterday.
The man, who is understood to be a Chinese national and in his twenties, called to a house in Crumlin seeking help at around 5 a.m.
He is understood to have suffered a severe head injury. Gardaí say he had attended a party and had been assaulted shortly after leaving the party.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have any information to contact them at the incident room at Crumlin Garda Station on 01-6666232.
