Man charged with attempted murder over Newry stabbing

A man aged 24 has been charged in Northern Ireland with attempted murder and possessing an article with a blade or point in a public place.

He is due to appear at Newry Magistrates' Court tomorrow morning.

The charge is in connection with a stabbing incident in the Edward Street area of Newry on Friday evening last, September 6th.

The 19-year-old victim was left fighting for his life after the knife attack.
