Man arrested after armed robbery in Coleraine

A man (25) has been arrested following the armed robbery of a cash-in-transit van in Coleraine, Co Derry.

The incident occurred in Riverside Retail Park at about 1.45pm yesterday.

Two men, armed with a gun and a crowbar, threatened the driver of the van before escaping with a cashbox.

Police investigating the robbery later detained a man in the Drumtarsey area in connection with the incident.
