IT company AppLabs today announced the opening of an office in Dublin with the potential creation of up to 100 jobs over the next twelve months.
Philadelphia-based AppLabs is a global company which specialises in the development of IT solutions such as quality management, testing and certification, primarily geared towards the banking and financial sector.
The company says it hopes to follow the opening of its Dublin office with a Dublin-based testing facility which will potentially employ up to 100 testing consultants and engineers.
The company currently works with two organisations in this country - focusing on the banking and financial services sector. Customers of the company include American Airlines, Royal Bank of Scotland and Hewlett Packard.
The opening of the company's Dublin office is part of AppLabs expansion into the European market.
Mr Sashi Reddi, chairman and CEO, of the company said today: "Ireland is a significant market in European terms and the opening of our office there is a natural progression of our business plan and reinforces our commitment to the European marketplace. It is an obvious step forward for us after listening to our customers' demands."
